December 20, 2025

Things continue to get closer to our embarkation date, so thought I would update a few things. After lots of issues in getting Visa’s and ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) approvals from Brazil, UK, Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and UAE, I can attest to what others have said, Brazil  seems to be the hardest to get approved. I have attached a picture of Joan holding several of these documents.

Another thing completed is obtaining an adapter to attach our camera SD card to my iPad to upload pictures. Still in the testing phase of these processes. I am hopeful that practice will help.

We have also gone through the process of getting (see my picture) insurance for foreign country medical care, medical evacuation back to a local hospital, travel security and crisis response benefits. Again after some investigation I was able to find these coverages at a reasonable (everything is relative) cost. Let’s  hope these coverages are never needed.

One last update for this post. Two and one half weeks ago, we received FedEx labels to ship our luggage to the ship. Fourteen days ago we placed our luggage at the condo front office while we were out of town and the company picked up our bags and I got notified

that they arrived at the Miami port authority. I am able to confirm this with the GPS tags in each bag. If all continues to go well, the bags will be in our cabin when we board the ship on Jan 6th. Fingers crossed.

Guess I need more practice on placing and spacing photos 😄
