After months of planning and anticipation, the day has finally arrived. Woke up this morning to find an email in my inbox that our flights changed. Instead of leaving DSM ( see first pic above) a little after 2:00 pm, connect in Charlotte and get into Miami about 8:00 pm, we needed to leave on flight to DCA at 12:57 and still get into Miami about 8:20pm. What a great start. So cancelled scheduled Uber pickup and got Joan to finish all the last minute chores early. Called Audrey and “ yes” she could be our replacement Uber to the airport. ( see pic #2 above) Also contacted the company to modify our Miami flight arrival information
and transport to the hotel. Good news is that all changes worked out and we are at the Miami Biltmore for night #1. After checking in found the bar for a cocktail and dinner. ( see pic #3) Joan having a cosmo with her sliders.
Day #1 a success and getting ready for Day #2 shuttle to the ship and embarking tomorrow afternoon.
So glad it worked out! You are braver than me - I’d have left 2 days early in case flights changed. 🤷🏼♀️ Glad you didn’t do that though, so we got to see you Sunday at church.🤗
