They are doing a good job of having plenty of lectures about the upcoming Islands we will be visiting. Talking about the geography, cultures, history, marine life, places to avoid, etc. Spent all day today at sea. Also, heard a talk about the new upcoming CDC guidelines for alcohol intake. It sounded good to me, and I am sure it will be good news to some readers as well. Had the Captain’s Reception and met some new interesting people. The one woman worked in administration for HCA (the hospital chain) and when I mentioned the name of my good friend from medical school, she said she knew him. Go figure. It really is a small world. Speaking of a small world. We ate dinner with a friend of mine from my Board of Medicine days. He and his wife, whom I did not know are also on the 180 day cruise. I noticed him in the line when waiting to board the ship. Joan and I had a good time getting to know her. More good entertainment today in the lounges. So far we have not been bored, or failed to find something to keep busy while looking at water for as far as eye can see.
