Joan and I got a later start this morning because we were not scheduled to leave the ship for our shore excursion until 10:30 am. This was our day in Bridgetown Barbados. We did not get to see much of this island because our excursion was a submarine dive and we boarded their transport boat a couple of blocks from the cruise terminal. It turns out that apparently we did not miss much in town because it is a Sunday and others reported that most everything was closed. Our sub dive took us down to 140 feet and we spent most of the hour along a coral reef. My prior experience on coral reefs revealed vibrant colors and a plethora of different fish species. The colors of the coral were muted and we saw two turtles, a stingray, Sargent majors, and other small fish that I cannot name. Still was a fun experience but we can consider the submarine box checked. Loaded a few pictures that I hope are viewable. We were able to do some shopping in the duty free shop in the cruise terminal. No issues with bringing a bottle through security.
During the evening we attended a cocktail party for the world cruisers, had more Caribbean food, and watched part of the Eagles game. Congrats to Brock Purdy and the 49ers.
