This is a sea day. Sorry I am several days behind on both journaling and blogging. Unfortunately, I have caught a bad cold with sore throat and really annoying cough that has been going around the ship. I spoke with one lady who said she had it at the beginning of the cruise. Thanks for sharing! I am trying to get some extra rest since I have been up at night coughing.
The Currents newsletter today is about Animals of the Ocean. Joan has started us in the ship scavenger hunt around the ship looking for works of art. I hate to say it, but it is kind of addicting. I took a walk around the ship looking at all the paintings and other works of art.
The information in Currents compliments the lecture information from a few days ago on baleen and toothed whales. Did you know that lemon sharks are named because of the color of their torso? I have not heard of anyone on ship seeing sharks, but there have been sightings of whales blowing their spouts and at least two whales breaching. Several people report seeing pods of dolphins. Again, Joan and I have not spotted them.
Happy Valentines Day!
No worries about the delay in your posts; I am a few days behind reading them;-). Thanks again for your efforts in allowing us to share your adventures.
