March 4, 2026- Day# 59

We were lucky to get added from the wait list to the Salsa & Salsa tour today in Cabo San Lucas. This is a beautiful area, commonly called just Cabo. The city is in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur and renowned as a major tourist destination for its dramatic Land’s End Arch, beaches, and nightlife. Cabo has the largest Marlin tournament in the world and also famous for the Cabo Waco Cantina nightclub where Sammy Hager of Van Halen fame still owns and comes to play music here.

At the Los Cabo’s Golf Resort (owned by Wyndham), we had a class on learning to make (and drink) two types of margaritas and six types of salsa. I missed out on the salsa dance lessons, so Joan had to learn to do the steps with another friend who’s husband was not taking part either. I thought we were done and had headed to the bus area and when I returned to the area where they had taken down the tables, the dance lesson was almost over. By the way, Joan and her partner got the award for being the “most tenacious”.
